About ATO Hong Kong
The U.S. Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) in Hong Kong works closely with importers, wholesalers, retailers and other trade promotion organizations to increase the sale of U.S. food and agricultural products in Hong Kong and Macau. ATO Hong Kong provides support to promote existing U.S. products in the market as well as aggressively introduces new-to-market products from the United States.
The ATO is one of the many overseas offices of the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The primary role of FAS is to promote the export of U.S. agricultural products into foreign markets. In 2023, Hong Kong was the United States' 8th largest market for consumer oriented agricultural products and the 19th largest market for total U.S. agricultural product exports. Hong Kong is a very important market and a top export destination for U.S. products such as wine, seafood, fresh fruit, bakery goods, dairy, and beef. We strive to continue our close ties with our important contacts in the local food industry.
